The leader in the replacement timber decking market, Millboard manufactures a premium non-timber board that looks like natural timber but has no drawbacks. However, specifiers and architects were unaware of the product or the attributes that could help their award-winning designs despite leading the market.

A secondary issue was its marketing material didn’t represent that. A market-leading unique product, Millboard decking has inherent USP’s that translates into a fantastic set of transferable benefits for the end-user. However, with a lack of information and collateral available for architects, merchants, installers and consumers, we were tasked with bringing the product to the specifier and user.

With Millboard operating across the whole distribution supply chain, the strategy employed was to create differentiated messaging for each key sector. Following strategic direction, we designed a suite of brand assets to generate lifestyle benefits for consumers pushing the low maintenance USPs and product benefits in placement bringing retail.

For architects and specifiers, we developed collateral with technical benefits such as data, regulatory and specification data generated into a range of assets linking the brand to premium material and manufacturing.
